Winemaking:
This Riesling from our estate grown fruit was harvested over 12 days in the early hours of the morning in late March. The free run juice of each parcel is fermented separately. The resulting wine is a fine tuned blend created from parcels including the original planting of 1971, through to a block of Geisenheim clone, planted in 2003.
Vintage:
A classic cool climate growing season with ample rainfall and cold temperatures was followed by a dry and sunny autumn. The result being a slow, even ripening with tremendous flavour development at low sugar levels.
Colour:
Brilliant pale straw with emerald flecks.
Nose:
Citrus flowers and lifted notes over lime zest.
Palate:
Delicate, yet intense flavours of lemon, lime and musk. Bright, sherbety and lively on the palate with a lingering mineral acidity.
Cellaring:
Whilst ready to drink now, this wine will gain in complexity over the next eight to ten years.
Alcohol:

12.0%
