COLOUR:
Deep, vibrant purple/ red.
NOSE:
A lifted floral bouquet with dark red berries. Dark chocolate, mocha, cigar box and pepper undertones bring complexity.
PALATE:
An elegant Shiraz featuring red berries and anise and enveloped with warm oaky spice. Lovely balance of acid structure with fine, silky tannins creating a smooth and rich mouthfeel and a long and lingering finish. This wine has power, elegance and texture.
WINEMAKING:
The grapes are handpicked from dry grown, low yielding vines planted in 1905. Naturally fermented in open 500L vats, gently hand plunged each day. The wine is matured in new French oak Hogsheads for 24 months.
FOOD PAIRING:
This elegant Shiraz will pair beautifully with char grilled or roasted beef served rare with a pepper sauce or how about lobster tortellini.
